Description
The Wolmer’s Girls’ School class ring, made to order by The Wright Jewels in Jamaica. Each ring is cast in your choice of metal, set with the Wolmer’s crest, and finished with your graduating year, whether you are leaving sixth form this year or you are an old girl replacing a ring from decades ago. Our family has made class rings for Jamaican schools since 1950, and the Wolmers crest is cut with the same care Leonard Wright gave the very first rings he made in Kingston.
Metals and pricing
Prices start at $100 in sterling silver 925 and run to $825 in 14K gold. We also offer a lead-free brass alloy and tungsten for a lower-cost everyday ring, and 10K or 14K in yellow or white gold. Silver is the usual choice for a first ring; gold is what parents and alumnae choose for a gift meant to be worn for life. Pick your metal, ring size and graduating year from the options above and the price updates as you go.
Sizing
This ring is cut for women’s sizes, with half sizes available. If you are ordering from abroad and are unsure of your size, order the size you wear on the same finger in another ring, or contact us and we will send you a simple way to measure at home. Rings can be resized later.
How long it takes, and where we ship
Every Wolmer’s ring is made to order. Production takes 4 to 6 weeks, after which we ship with tracking to the United States, Canada, Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. Other countries are quoted individually.
Who orders this ring
Graduating students and their parents, most of all. We also make rings for Wolmer’s old girls living in New York, Toronto, London and Florida who lost their original or never got one, and for the Wolmer’s Old Girls’ Association and reunion committees ordering for a whole year group. If you are organising rings for a class, contact us and we will handle sizing and individual engraving for the group. Looking for the Wolmer’s Boys’ ring? Contact us and we will make it for you.
About Wolmer’s Girls’ School
Wolmer’s, founded in 1729, is the oldest school in Jamaica and among the oldest in the Caribbean. The Girls’ School in Kingston has an alumnae network that reaches across the region, North America and the United Kingdom, and the ring is the one piece of Wolmer’s most old girls keep for the rest of their lives.
